SANDWICH STRUCTURES

Sandwich structures are specific type of a laminated composite, comprising two thin, stiff and strong faces separated by a thick, light and weaker core. In comparison to simple laminates, sandwiches have higher stiffness, better insulation properties and lower weight.

Tvrdší, tužší a pevnější výztuž představují tkaniny uhlíkové, aramidové, skelné a jejich hybridy, aluminizované a diolenové tkaniny, rovingy, sendvičové a další materiály. Funkci pojiva zastávají pryskyřice a doplňkové epoxidové systémy.
